The evening offers two concerts with the composers Mia Ghabarou and Mathias Bredholt (Areal). Mathias and Mia both find themselves in an avant-garde sound universe where electronic and instrumental surfaces intersect. Between the concerts, Martin Gilleshøj will play music.

Mia Ghabarou 

New year, new whistles. This evening, Mia performs with two flautists. She wants to work with some older material and dress it up in new arrangements. 

"I see the concert format as a space in which something new and surprising should emerge".  

Mia Ghabarou moves within dance, performance, electronic and neo-classical music. Over the past year, she has played concerts with new set-ups with everything from multi-channel concerts to dance performances, and this evening will be unique in its own format. Area 

Areal is a project by the Montreal-based sound artist Mathias Bredholt. With a background as an engineer, Areal mixes mathematics, algorithms and music to create the sound of new organisms and materials.
